The car game is one that is always changing, but not always for the better. For the most part, the things that are introduced in the car game are meant to shake things up and hopefully pave a new road for the future. This can be true, assuming that the change is a practical one, but there are plenty of changes that have come along and have been absolutely terrible.
Car fads are nothing new, and many of them come along and are fazed out in no time. Sure, there are some people that stick with the dated trends for far too long, but most people tend to pull their heads out of the sand and realize the error of their ways. No one knows what trendy fad is around the corner, but we just hope that it is better than these fads were.

15. Donks

We still don’t really understand the fascination that people have with getting huge wheels on their cars, but it is what it is at this point. Donks were one trend that we just could not get behind. Having a car that is riding around on some huge rims was never a good look.
14. Mudflap Girls

This trend is as dated as it gets, and so many people are guilty of having a set of these. Mudflaps are understandable, and we get that some people might want to spice things up a bit. However, nothing screams desperate as loudly as mudflap girls. Seriously, these were never cool.
13. Lambo Doors

Most people will never be able to afford a Lamborghini, but this won’t stop them from trying to make their regular car feel like one. Lambo doors are a mod that many people have gotten, and we just don’t get it. Who in the world are they trying to fool?
12. Roll Call Logos

This is something that only a few people are guilty of, and this is because normal people know how silly this looks. Having roll call logos blasted on the side of a car does not make the driver look impressive to the rest of us. It makes them look like a total joke.
11. Fake Badges

The people that are guilty of doing this should be ashamed. We get that people should dress for the job they want, but trying to badge for the car they want is just disingenuous. No, you do not drive a Mercedes, and that is totally okay. Just be happy with what you have.
10. Faux Wood Paneling
Why did this fad ever get popular? Fake wood paneling on cars has never looked cool, and what’s worse is that it immediately makes any car that has it look and feel older than it should. This was a trend that should have been done away with when The Brady Bunch ended.
9. Car Wraps

Car wraps came along and caught on with a solid amount of people, and while some were okay with keeping it simple, other people went bananas with it. Because of this, car wraps ended up having a negative stigma while people were just trying to outdo each other with terrible designs.
8. Light Kits

Whenever a car with light kits hits the road, most people immediately think of the Need for Speed games, which is not a good thing. These lights are silly to look at, and the fascination with them is rubbish. No, they do not look cool and they should be taken off immediately.
7. Car Bras

We are so glad that this is a thing of the past. Car bras were such a silly thing, and while it was said that they could add a layer of protection to any ride, the truth is that most people just thought that they looked cool. Those people were completely wrong.
6. Massive Spoilers

Spoilers are pretty common to see, and they can look decent enough as long as they fit the car properly. Unfortunately, people don’t know how to just be chill about things, and they wind up getting gigantic spoilers that make their car look like something right from the Transformers movies.

For some reason, there is a weird fascination that people have with lifting their vehicles to heights that are obnoxious. Whether it is a car or a truck, owners have spent plenty of time and money on lift kits to make their dreams come true. This fad needs to end in a hurry.

Headlights are meant to illuminate the road in front of us, and the people that willingly tint their headlights are just so out of touch with reality. No, it does not look cool, and no, people are not impressed. Just keep them the way they are and move on with your life.

Houston, we have a problem. Swangas is a fad that started in Texas, and everyone else outside of the state is still trying to figure out what’s going on here. It is a popular enough style that people get this done, but it looks way out of place anywhere outside of Houston.
