In October 2018, the Ford GT Carbon series was introduced to the world at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). Compared to the Competition model, it is 30 pounds lighter, and although it is also one that is meant to be taken on the track, it still features air conditioning and radio, which aren’t available in the Competition Series.
The most appealing thing about this car, though, has to be its awesome design. It’s an extremely limited car, with only 1,350 produced in total. So, if you ever see one on the road, consider yourself a lucky chap.

After seeing the Ford GT Carbon Series’ multiple colorways, our favorite is the Lightning Blue, and it's no surprise that it is the most popular choice out there. The blue actually looks different depending on the lighting and angle, as you will see in other photos of the same shoot.

For us, we prefer our super cars a little flashier, and we much prefer the flashy lightning blue on this awesome sports car. However, we like this photo as it shows off the metallic grey paint in a well-lit environment.

Every time we see this car from a different angle, we fall in love with it a little more. If only it was a little more accessible. Everything about this car screams power, and when it comes to performance, it’s far from lacking, with the ability to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 2.9 seconds.

The Ford GT Carbon Series packs the same 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 power plant you will find in your normal Ford GT. This power plant is good for 647 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque and it is attached to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
