There is nothing unusual about tunnels as a passage that we often see in our daily lives.
However, tunnels are often deep and dark, human beings happen to have an innate fear of the bottomless things, so the claustrophobic tunnels will make many people cry out depressingly and want to escape quickly.
But do we know this? In fact, we have been trapped within a curved magnetic tunnel, our home planet and the Sun as the master of the solar system are in this. Some people will surely wonder how humans can be unaware of such a long tunnel when the Earth is in the middle of it. And the composition of this tunnel is located in the galaxy is very bright rope structure, why we have never seen it?
This is because this tunnel can only be seen under the observation of a radio telescope, in other words, humans can not see it with the naked eye alone, and this is the real reason why we are in the tunnel but do not know it. From the picture drawn by the radio telescope, it can be clearly seen that our planet is surrounded by countless "filaments", and these dense filaments are like forming a tunnel.
In a sense, this tunnel has not had much impact on the Earth. Scientists believe that even if there was an impact, we would hardly notice it, because the basic structures that make up the tunnel were discovered as early as last century. After such a long time, we have not yet figured out what the two structures are, let alone explore the "tunnel" in the end what the impact.
The galaxy in which the tunnel is located is a barred spiral galaxy, resembling an elliptical disk with symmetrical cantilevers. Therefore, the shape of the galaxy is shown by a schematic diagram with a clear dust disk in the middle. Astronomers define the upper part of the dust disk as the North Pole, and the lower side corresponds to it as the South Pole. Therefore, most of the North Pole mentioned after this refers to the North Pole of the Milky Way, not the North Pole of the Earth, and we need to pay special attention not to confuse it.
A curved bright line extending upward from the north pole of the Milky Way, named the "North Silver Polar Branch" by scientists, is one of the important components of this tunnel. In addition, another sector of the galaxy's radio gas structure is also an important part of this tunnel.
North Silver Polar Branch and Sector
The northern silver pole branch is a radio-continuous structure that looks somewhat like a "rope" and extends mainly from the silver channel to the northern silver pole region, hence its name. Scientists believe that these thin lines are composed of both electrons and plasma, and the cause of their shape is not yet clear. Another sector of the structure is also made up of multiple "filaments", both of which are located on either side of the solar system, about 350 light-years away from us.
It is fair to say that although they were discovered early, there has been no definitive answer as to what they are. From the first pictures taken, they looked "unusually conspicuous" in the night sky, so scientists classified them as almost a galactic rope structure and thought they were a simple radio gas.
But now the discovery of the tunnels surprisingly connects the unrelated two, making them into a tunnel that wraps around the solar system and the Earth, which shows that they are not as simple as we thought. According to the data, the northern silver polar branch and sector span a length of about 1000 light years, so scientists have directly limited the length of this mysterious tunnel composed of them to 1000 light years.
Scientists have conducted several studies on the two in the past, and after analyzing them, they say that they are not particularly associated with the center of the galaxy, and they speculate that this structure is actually more relevant to Centauri.
This has been followed by a number of scientists who have maintained a long follow-up and interest in these two bright and special structures, such as the Canadian scholar Dr. Jennifer West and her team.
In an interview with Jennifer West she stated.
"For a long time, astronomers have been puzzled as to what these structures are. If our eyes could see radio light, then they would fill most of the sky."
The sun takes the earth on a wild ride through the tunnel
Although scientists are currently unable to answer what exactly this tunnel is, and where it will lead. But the appearance of this figurative tunnel is an image of the sun carrying the Earth wildly. Even though we know that our galaxy is always moving, it is difficult to imagine the state or direction of its movement. After all, it is difficult to define "north, south, east and west" in the universe, but the emergence of the "tunnel model" makes everything come to life.
Suppose the Sun is a large trailer, and our Earth is on the trailer bucket. The Earth and the other planets in the solar system are part of the trailer and are being carried by the Sun through this magnetic tunnel at a speed of about 220 km/sec. Radio astronomical observation method
From the discovery of two important structures, the North Silver Polar Branch and the Sector, it is clear that the universe is very limited in what humans can observe with the naked eye alone. Therefore, the common method of observing the universe nowadays is actually the radio astronomical observation method, which requires the use of radio technology to receive, measure, and analyze radio waves from celestial bodies, and integrate the relevant data before studying them.
The most important thing in the radio astronomy observation method is the "radio telescope", and it can be said that after the radio telescope appeared, we really saw the appearance of the universe. Radio telescope is the basic equipment for observing and studying radio waves, which can not only measure the intensity of celestial radio but also its spectrum and polarization and many other data.
The four major discoveries in astronomy in the 1960s are considered by academics to be pulsars, cosmic microwave radiation, quasars, and interstellar organic molecules. Literally they are not associated with radio astronomy telescopes, but a closer look reveals that most of them were discovered through radio telescope observations.

When you hear the word tunnel, the first thing that comes to mind is a time tunnel. After all, in the current dimension we live in, time is something that "runs into the sea and never returns". Most people agree with the idea that "when you start to miss the past, you are already old.
