Are Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston planning to “team up on movie projects”? That’s the premise of a new, yet unoriginal, report from one of this week’s tabloids. , however, can correct the story. We’re told it’s untrue.
According to the new issue of NW, Angelina Jolie is going to “blow a gasket” when she finds out her estranged husband and his first ex-wife are looking to make some films together. In an attempt to sound credible, the publication quotes a so-called “source” as saying Aniston and Pitt are currently in the “brainstorming stage and going over some of those old scripts that didn’t get off the ground” when they had a production company. The same unnamed and possibly made-up “source” adds they both want to “do something sooner rather than later.”
The anonymous tipster asserts, “They’ve always been a great foil for each other professionally,” before explaining, “Jen brings out Brad’s more light-hearted side, while he encourages her to take on more challenging roles.” “Brad has always believed Jen could be an Oscar winner,” insists the untraceable “source.” The supposed insider further offers how Pitt and Aniston know there would be an interest in the two collaborating and “people would go see [a movie] just because they were in it.”
So what type of film are they looking to do? Not surprisingly, the magazine has no clue. Instead, it’s more interested in simply floating the phony narrative about them teaming up, and how it would completely “annoy Ange.”
Unlike the tabloid, which hides behind a nameless and unaccountable “source,” reached out to reps for both Aniston and Pitt. Her spokesman exclusively tells us the entire tale is “fabricated.” And Pitt’s rep, speaking on his behalf as well, also assures us the story is untrue.
But also checked its records and realized this is not the first time that often inaccurate outlet has tried to peddle this storyline. Nearly one year ago, we busted the very same magazine when it falsely claimed Pitt and Aniston were going to star in a movie together. And very much like the current article that contends they’re “going over some of those old scripts” to find the right project, the piece from April 2018 similarly stated they were poring over “a bunch of old scripts in the archives that they’d planned to work on together.” Basically, NW did a reboot of a previously debunked report, with the added twist of how Aniston and Pitt collaborating would anger Jolie.
Frankly, is used to exposing the magazine for its bogus stories. A little more than a week ago, we pointed out how the outlet concocted a tale about Pitt making a “heartfelt toast” at Aniston’s recent 50th birthday party. In that piece, it was speculated the two exes might rekindle, which is particularly interesting since the same publication declared on its cover almost exactly a year ago that Pitt and Aniston had gotten married in Paris, even though he’s still legally wed to Jolie. Like many of Aniston’s romantic-comedies, the tabloid’s latest article about her planning to team up with Pitt on movie projects has provided with lots of laughs.
