Coconut tequila adds a new level of flavor to many cocktails

Whether drunk neat or added to a cocktail, coconut tequila is a new way to enjoy agave forward spirit. Are you ready to try this version of a blue agave tequila?

Tequila is getting a flavor makeover thanks to coconut tequila. This nuanced tequila is different than the other variety of tequila options that fill the bar shelf. Along side the blanco and anejo options, this coconut forward tequila is subtle yet adds a new option to drinking the Mexican spirit.

The Coconut Crusher, which is one part tequila and three parts pineapple juice, is an easy cocktail. While this cocktail is simple, a garnish of grilled pineapple, even with a little dash of tajin on the pineapple would be nice.

For a little an option more like a margarita, reduce the pineapple juice and add some lime juice. The Heat cocktail offers that combination. With a jalapeno garnish, the heat is not overbearing. It is just enough to compliment the sweetness from the pineapple and the brightness from the lime.

If you are looking for a sophisticated twist, 1800 Tequila offers the Five Points Pavillion. This cocktail combines honey and green tea for a herbaceous drink. The grassiness from the green tea is offset by the sweetness of the honey. This cocktail has a little similarity to a green tea, with a little adult twist.
