Could You Take On The Big One? Domino’s Launches New Dish That’s As Big As Eight Large Pizzas Put Together

Domino's biggest ever pizza has landed in Australia, and it's a mouth-watering masterpiece the size of eight large pizzas put together.

The Big One is a combination of Domino's four most popular flavour combinations and is so large it only just fits through a standard doorway.

Four fully-loaded quarters feature the chain's most popular recipes - with each quarter roughly the size of two large pizzas.

The first quarter is topped with classic pepperoni while the second features the Supreme recipe and includes pepperoni, bacon, beef, sausage, mushroom, pineapple and onion.

Domino's BBQ Meatlovers recipe, including bacon, pepperoni, ham, beef, sausage and BBQ sauce tops the third quarter.

While a simple but delicious Hawaiian tops the final quarter.

The Big One is the largest stores are able to make and each store only has the capacity to make two of the giant pizzas per day.

The company had to source new, custom-made pizza pans and specially-designed pizza boxes which are thicker and more robust to withstand the pizza's weight.

'The supersized pizza contains an impressive 800 grams of mouth-watering mozzarella and 600 grams of sauce,' explains Dominos Global Development Chef Michael Treacy.

The Big One provides around 20 servings and comes with a $49.95 price tag.

The pizza must be reserved online and is available for pick-up only as it's too large to be transported on a Domino's electric bike.

'Customers will need to make sure they bring a friend to help them carry the pizza out of the store and clear the boot space in their car so it can lay flat,' said Domino's Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight.
