Chen Jungui, who joined the army in 1979, was involved in the construction of the Dokku Highway. One day in 1985, he screened the movie "Tianshan Row" and remembered the story of "the last steamed bun".
April 8, 1980 was a day that was engraved in Chen Jungui's heart. On that day, the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Regiment of the Infrastructure Engineering Corps, which was building the Tianshan Highway, was besieged by a blizzard, and the telephone line was scraped off.

Unexpectedly on the way, Chen Jungui and his comrades were besieged by heavy snow, they walked in the snowy mountains at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters for two days, exhausted, we are going to collapse.
In a life-or-death situation, squad leader Zheng Linshu took out the last bun. Chen Jungui is a new recruit, the youngest, steamed buns to him to eat. Chen Jungui said he wouldn't eat anything.
Zheng Linshu got angry and ordered Chen Jungui to eat the bun. In this way, they insisted on moving forward in the wind and snow. After walking a short distance, Zheng Linshu finally could not hold on.

He and his squad leader spent only 38 short days together, but the squad leader chose to leave death to himself and life to his comrades.

Thinking of the old squad leader's last wish, Chen Jungui resolutely made a life-changing decision to go to the Tianshan Mountains to his comrade's wake. His wife decided to follow, and so they took their son, who had not long been born, and the family went to Tianshan. Chen Jungui dragged his disabled leg, day and night to accompany his long-sleeping comrades, volunteering to guard the graves and find relatives for the fallen comrades.
