Though I was pining for Krispy Kreme's Nutella-stuffed rings mere months ago, my feelings about their latest flavor launch are quite the, um, opposite. How could I turn my back on the beloved brand, one might ask? Well, their most recent debut is a "Salty Egg-Filled" donut. Need I say more?

The creation—which launched exclusively in Thailand—has "lava egg" inside. In case you're entirely unaware what that is (I was), here you go: It's a custard made from egg yolk. And apparently, it does in fact taste like a salted egg.

The limited-edition donuts debuted May 16 and will remain in stores through June 30. They're priced at 35 baht each, which translates to a little more than a buck in America. Though I was a little taken aback by the new flavor, it's actually fairly common. According to TODAY, similar "egg tart" desserts are popular in Portugal, China, Taiwan, and Latin America.

The donut filling reportedly contains egg yolks, sugar, milk, and salt. So if you're into the whole savory sweet combo, maybe you'll like 'em. In fact, Twitter is pretty torn over the subject—with some praising the new flavor and others, well, on my side. "Okay, Krispy Kreme Thailand...you had me at “salted egg” until you showed how big the doughnut was," one user wrote. "Dang. I would eat the hell out of that," another added. THE SALTED EGG DONUT HAS FANS. Crazier things have happened.

But also, here are some reactions more on par with my perspective. "Would you try a salted egg filled doughnut?" ABC7 News anchor Steve Rudin asked. "Nope," one fellow hater replied with a vomiting emoji for good measure. "In a word: Why?" the other asked.

Would you try a salted egg filled doughnut? #KrispyKreme in #Thailand has them for a month. Don't look for them around the #DMV.

I'm in full support if anyone wants to try the Salty Egg-Filled Ring, but personally, I think I'll stick with Krispy Kreme's U.S. spring flavors: strawberry, pineapple, and lime.
