Well, this is awkward. After claiming that Kylie Jenner bragged about her wealth when they talked at the Met Gala, Alex Rodriguez is backpedaling on his comments -- big time. Seems like being called out by the lip kit queen isn't a very good look!
This all started on Tuesday, when Alex told Sports Illustrated that Kylie told him that she's rich when they met.
In the interview, A-Rod said that "Kylie was talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is" when they caught up at the Met Gala.
Kylie ain't lying. She is rich -- we know this. But is this really something she would say?
As soon as Kylie caught wind of Alex's comments, she took to Twitter to set the record straight.
According to Kylie, that conversation never happened, and we're inclined to believe her. Yes, Kylie might be the youngest self-made billionaire in the world (at least, that's what Forbes seems to think) but she's not normally one to talk about it.
And then, after Kylie attempted to clear up that rumor, it all got worse.
A-Rod responded to Kylie's tweet, seemingly admitting he was wrong.
So which is it, Alex? Did Kylie talk to you about how rich she is, or did you discuss makeup and Game of Thrones? These are very different topics, so we're not getting how he could have mixed them up.
Seems like he's just trying to get himself back in Kylie's good graces -- if that's possible at this point. Nobody wants to be on the Kardashians' bad side.

Honestly, what is going on? Why would Alex have misquoted Kylie when he knows that the internet exists and his comments are probably going to get back to her? Was he trying to be funny? We don't get it!
It seems like fans are definitely tired of this whole situation already.
Seriously -- he's a legendary baseball player and engaged to Jennifer Lopez. Is there not anything else he could have talked about in that interview?
We have a feeling Alex will think twice before he brings Kylie up in an interview again.
If there's one thing we've learned from this whole awkward mess, it's that Kylie is not about to let anyone misconstrue her words. Is it just us, or is this something she definitely picked up from big sis Kim Kardashian?
