The original work laptop used by Feng Qing was Surfacebook1, a 14-inch Intel 8 generation i5, which has become more and more uncomfortable after almost 5 years of use, especially after the installation of Windows 11 to open the Explorer lag serious, so the idea of replacing a notebook for office use. I had a few requirements for a new laptop: a good and large enough screen, strong performance, not too heavy, and not too flashy design. After some selection, I locked the Phantom 16 and Y9000X2022.
In the end, I thought the Y9000X was more in line with my personal aesthetic, so I bought the i5+3060 version from Jingdong on May 31 and received the laptop on June 3.
Unboxing
Wind clear this produced on May 23, 2022, quite fresh. y9000X packaging is better than the traditional notes of yellow kraft paper, but compared to Apple, Surface packaging is still relatively sloppy. Design and workmanship - excellent texture
I have no obvious scratches, dust, stains, each seam overall no obvious gaps, good workmanship. However, the gap between the two sides of the touch panel is not consistent, the right side is slightly wider than the left side. See some online users received scratch products.
The 2022 model Y9000X is made of metal on three sides, except for the D-side which is not generally touched, all visible areas are metal. However, its metallic texture is not as obvious as other brands, and even the C side has some plastic feel. This time the Y9000X has changed a lot from the previous generation mold, the overall is more square, especially the brushed metal bezel is very great for texture enhancement, especially the side air vents look more delicate.
Performance - enough is good enough
I purchased the Core i5-12500H + RTX 3060 Laptop with 512GB SSD and 16G DDR5 RAM. The performance of this notebook has been completely sufficient for me to use, compared to the former surfacebook simply heaven and earth, so I did not carry out in-depth testing, need to know friends can look at other professional reviews.
The performance release is much better compared to the thin and light book, after all, heat dissipation is stronger, comes with Legion zone can be adjusted to different modes, custom mode performance release (CPU 45W + GPU 98.5W), adjusted to the beast mode (125W) heat dissipation and noise performance is good, I often use for quiet mode, can hear a slight wind sound.
Screen - can be called stunning
I arrived at this laptop screen for BOE production, the first batch of feedback received from users should be BOE, model BOE0A1FNE160QDM-NY1, the same as the Y9000P.
The screen bezel is very narrow and the picture impact is very strong. The screen itself supports 165Hz, has a resolution of 2560*1600 brightness of 500nits, has G-Sync, HDR 400, Dolby Vision. all in all, it's a good screen, especially in a gaming notebook.
The screen is very narrow around, you can see the specific photos. However, because the upper bezel is very narrow, in order to put down the dual Mic and 1080P camera, there are small protruding bangs on top of the screen, which some friends may not be able to accept.
Keyboard - Moderate
The keyboard comes with a monochrome backlight, adjustable in two positions. The keys have a certain sense of paragraph, the feel is not flaccid, but compared to the Thinkpad there is still a gap. Also comes with a small keyboard. No keyboard is also one of the reasons I gave up on the phantom 16.
Keyboard power key with fingerprint recognition, the actual use of recognition quickly, surrounded by a circle of light as an indicator. Keyboard function shortcuts and F keys can be fixed to switch, give a positive feedback, computer sound, brightness, projection and other functions can be quickly switched through the first row of keys, without having to press the Fn key.
Touchpad size compared to the previous generation has increased, the material is glass, only the lower part can be pressed, press the general feel. The good thing is that the operation follows the hand, sliding use comfortable.
Interfaces - everything you want
The Y9000X is quite rich in ports, with Thunderbolt 4 + full USB-C on the left (both support 135W power supply), SD card reader, camera switch, and audio port on the right. The rear 3 USB A, HDMI also upgraded to 2.1 specification, the most power DC connector is also located in the rear, desktop tidiness greatly improved.
Weight - consider carefully
The official thickness of 16.9mm-21mm, the actual measurement of the thickest place including the height of the foot pad 2.6cm, the thinnest place 2cm, weight 2.18KG. on my personal rarely travel, daily also rarely move the laptop, and still can accept its weight and volume. But for those who need to carry it from time to time, Y9000X is not so suitable.
Disadvantages and shortcomings

- Weight and volume is not suitable for daily carry, will not be friendly to the shoulder, daily carry friends please be careful.
- Screen light leakage is more serious, online see other users sunshine single also have different degrees of light leakage, although does not affect the daily experience, but very affect the mood.
- The charger occasionally whistles, most of the time it does not, and from the existing situation this is not an isolated phenomenon.
- The most serious problem is Windows 11, which comes with a system that can't open Explorer, Start menu, and right-click menu after boot activation, and still can't be solved after restoring factory settings. I have no choice but to reinstall the system, after the installation of daily use is still some strange little bugs, I can only expect Microsoft to fix it soon.
