Police rushed to help a man who'd gone into cardiac arrest, but were given a shock themselves by what they then say they then found.

The man, who has not been named, collapsed at a railway station. Along with members of the public, police gave him life-saving first aid.

Ambulance crews turned up to treat the man, and he came round before he was taken to hospital.

But when police looked in what they claim was the man's bag, they were given quite a surprise.

In the bag was a large tub containing wraps of cannabis, several more bags of tightly packed bricks of the drug, and two large knives.

Dyfed Powys police said the haul, following the incident at Newtown Police Station on Friday, was worth an estimated £25,000.

On Twitter, the force said: "Following a male in cardiac arrest at Newtown train station (Officer) 333/178 gave CPR with members of public until ambulance arrived. The male regained consciousness, conveyed to hospital. Officer 333/178 found over £25000 of cannabis in his bag."
