The JLS singer's £3m home looked in desperate need of major repairs before it was struck by fire

New pictures of Oritse Williams ' £3 million mansion show the house falling apart following a devastating fire.

Emergency services were called to the former JLS singer's sprawling home in Croydon yesterday after a massive blaze broke out.

Around 70 firefighters responded to the emergency and managed to get the flames under control.

New pictures now show the extent of the damage, with the roof caved in and the top floor almost completely wiped out.

The snaps also show the house appeared to be pretty rundown at the time of the fire - as the luxury swimming pool in the back garden had been left to go green.

The pool is seen covered in scum, while the garden around it has been left to grow wild.

There are weeds surrounding the front entrance and in front of the windows.

Williams bought the six-bedroomed house for around £3 million in 2013, and put it on the market last year.

He'd slashed the price of the house and was willing to accept a £1.25million loss on the property.

This morning, police confirmed they are investigating the fire as "suspicious".

This morning a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told The Sun : "Police were called at 16:39hrs on Tuesday, 4 June following reports of a fire at a residential address in Spout Hill, Croydon.

"Officers attended with London Fire Brigade.

"There were no reported injuries. There have been no arrests.

"At this stage, the incident is being treated as suspicious. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

"Enquiries continue, led by the South Area Command Unit CID."

The incident came just days after the JLS singer, 32, was cleared of raping a 20-year-old woman following an incident in a hotel on December 2, 2016.

Jurors also found Williams' tour manager Jamien Nagadhana not guilty of charges of sexual assault and assault by penetration.

Both men smiled as the jury reached their verdicts. After the verdict former tour manager Nagadhana said: "I'm just happy to get the f*ck out of Wolverhampton."

Prosecutors claimed Williams raped the “zombified” fan after she watched him perform his new single in a Wolverhampton nightclub.

Nagadhana, 32, denied sexually assaulting the woman during the same incident.

The jury deliberated for two hours and 17 minutes before reaching its unanimous verdicts.
