1. Tiger

2. Marine iguana
One of the many wonders of the Galapagos islands, marine iguanas are the only lizards in the world to forage in the sea. They have been threatened by numerous factors which include humans introducing cats, dogs, and other animals that prey on them as well as climate change effects such as sea level and air temperature rise. 3. Red panda
Slightly bigger than a domesticated cat, red pandas are increasingly poached for their unique pelts. With temperatures on the rise, red pandas move to higher elevations to survive climate change, which can place them outside of designated protected areas. 4. Polar bear
These marine mammals are facing a population decline that is directly linked to the effects of the human-caused climate change and offshore petroleum installations and operations in the Arctic. 5. Orangutan
The high demand for orangutan pets is one of the biggest threats to their decreasing population, followed by their hunting for meat. Female orangutans only give birth once every 3-5 years, making it a species slow to recover from population declines. Dreamstime/TNS
