1、Huashan
The ancient name of the mountain is Xiyue, and the elegant name is Taihua Mountain, one of the five mountains. It is a sacred place of the mainstream Quanzhen school of Taoism, and has the title of "the most dangerous mountain in the world" since ancient times. The most effortless way to play is to go up to the West Peak and down to the West Peak; another way to play is to go up to the West Peak and down to the North Peak, and the way down takes about 2 to 3 hours on foot, which is more laborious.
Huashan's West Peak Cableway is known as Asia's largest cableway, with the cable hanging between two mountains and a drop of 755 meters. The East Peak's Harrier Turn is a dangerous path, and you need to flip your body left and right to pass it. The Long Sky Trail has a history of more than 700 years, and the 30 cm wide cliff plank is called the "First Danger of Huashan".
The must-see West Peak is a complete boulder with a trail built along the ridge. It leads to the Cuiyun Palace hanging from it, which can be considered a perfect embodiment of the extreme danger of Mount Hua.
2、Taibai Mountain
Taibai Mountain is the highest peak of the main Qinling Mountains at 3,767 meters above sea level. Around Taibai Mountain, there are several hiking routes through the Qinling Mountains, which is a mecca for outdoor hiking enthusiasts. You can see alpine lakes, rocky seas, meadows, sea of clouds and other natural landscapes on Taibai Mountain, and if you are lucky, you can also encounter herds of antelopes by chance.
Located in the Qinling Mountains, Taibai Mountain is also unique in its natural conditions, being the dividing line of the Yangtze River and Yellow River systems. In winter, Taibai Mountain is wrapped in silver and the fog's are hidden. The 20 to 30 meter long ice waterfall at Lotus Peak has the grandeur of a glacier.
3、Golden Silk Gorge
Shangluo's Jinsi Gorge is a summer resort in southern Shaanxi, a rare canyon landscape with stunning natural scenery in Shaanxi. Sitting on a bamboo raft, swinging on the White Dragon Lake and wandering away from the green water and green hills is the unique comfort of Jinsi Gorge.
The complete geological structure of the Roach Valley and the Han River water system have given birth to a unique gorge of more than 20 kilometers, with five major attractions: White Dragon Gorge, Black Dragon Gorge, Green Dragon Gorge, Shiyanzhai and Danjiang Source, which contain more than 100 small attractions and are highly playable.
4、Wave Valley
The first time you see a wave valley, you will think it is a landscape of Qinghai or Gansu. But this Danxia landform, like the surface of Mars, is from northern Shaanxi. Billions of years of weathering and water erosion, the underground rocks form isolated peaks, forming a picture of stunning Danxia wonders.
Danxia seams on the layers of texture, with very obvious water erosion traces, like the undulating waves. It is similar to the view of Wave Valley in the United States, and the name of Jingbian Wave Valley has spread. The red sandstone is more vivid when the rain is over, the sun rises and the sun sets in the west.
5、Mountain of Medicine King
The altitude is only 812 meters, but the mountain is full of cultural relics and monuments, and is known as a sacred place for praying for blessings from far and near. The mountain is also called Wutai Mountain in the Song and Ming dynasties, as it is surrounded by five peaks in the shape of five arching platforms. Legend has it that Sun Si Miao, a medical scientist, retired to this mountain in his later years, and later generations honored him as the "King of Medicine", hence the name of the mountain.
The dense ancient Berlin in the Guanzhong area, murals from the Jin and Yuan periods, cliff carvings from the Sui to Ming dynasties, and more than 200 stele stones from the past dynasties all make Yakwang Mountain of great historical value. "The mountain is not high, but famous when there are immortals." Every building and every stone tablet here at Yakwang Mountain is steeped in rich humanistic and historical stories.
6、Longtou Mountain
With a snow and ice period of up to four months, Hanzhong Longtou Mountain is the Cloud Top Heavenly Palace of Shaanxi. Every year, in winter and spring, there are stunning scenery all over the suspension stacks at an altitude of 2,200 meters. Like the road above the clouds, the sea of clouds is within reach.
Longtou Mountain requires almost no climbing, and the tour will be very easy. The summit can be reached by a high ropeway and a 180-meter sightseeing escalator, and the remaining 3.5 kilometers of the suspension walkway are relatively smooth and without much climbing.
7、Tiannan Mountain
With an altitude of 2604 meters, Zhongnan Mountain is the most completely developed area of landslide geology in China, and is a natural dividing line between the geology, ecology and humanity of the north and the south. The geological remains of the Qinling orogenic belt, the Quaternary geological remains, and the ancient human remains are all features of the Zhinan Mountains.
It is a typical famous Taoist mountain, where allusions such as "Longevity is better than South Mountain" and "Shortcut to the South of the End" were born. South Wutai, at an altitude of 1,688 meters, is a branch of the Terminal Mountain, of which Ling Yingtai is the most famous. When the sky clears after the rain, it looks like a cloud-topped heavenly palace.
8、Ganquan Grand Canyon
Ganquan Grand Canyon, also known as Rain Fork Grand Canyon. This geological wonder hidden in the yellow earth is a masterpiece carved by millions of years of wind, water and time. The canyon edges become smooth, leaving layers of stripes on the rock surface, which is extremely visually stunning.
The majestic Birch Ditch, with a total length of about 300 meters, has a reputation as a photographer's paradise; Longba Ditch has soft and dynamic lines of mossy cliff walls, which is the most thrilling and exciting; Mudan Ditch has a strange and varied arch bridge, and microscopic landscapes such as "Peony Fairy" and "Immortal's Cave" are exquisite and natural.
9、Qiankun Bay
Qiankun Bay is the most magnificent and rippling river bend in the nine bends of the Yellow River, located in the Qinjin Grand Canyon of the Yellow River east of Yanchuan County. Qiankun Bay is named because of its resemblance to a Taiji diagram, standing at the top of the mountain, the curve arc of more than 320 degrees, known as the world's first bay of the Yellow River.
10、Hukou waterfall
Located at the border of Shaanxi and Shanxi, the Hukou Falls is the largest golden waterfall in the world. Hukou Waterfall has been a must-see place for those who come to Shaanxi to go to Yan'an, and the best viewing period is from April to May and September to October every year. The water surface from more than 400 meters wide, suddenly narrowed to more than 50 meters, hanging down, ten thousand horses rushing.
The Shaanxi section of the Hukou Falls is a side angle with a natural viewing platform where the water flows slowly and people can walk out to take pictures with the falls from a close distance. Up close, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the water curtain hanging high over the Hukou Waterfall, with smoke and fog and a magnificent atmosphere.
