As a coffee lover, I use the Delonghi E series at home, and the office has always been a capsule machine.
Recently, I want to improve the office life, even if a person's office, drinking coffee should be a little ritual is not ~
To buy a coffee machine, Delonghi must be a brand that cannot be bypassed.
I am also a Delonghi user, so this time I changed to a big hit Silver Knight.
Forgive me for not seeing the world, but I love this machine so much. There doesn't seem to be much related content on the site, so I rushed to talk about it after using it for a while.
Beautiful not like a coffee machine
The most attractive thing about the Delonghi Silver Knight, I think, is its appearance.
I even think it is beautiful not like a coffee machine, more like an exquisite work of art.
Silver and black color scheme, simple and not lose the sense of sophistication of the shape, where it looks good, you can even take it as an ornament.
The three round instrument panels on the top are lined up in sequence and are the most eye-catching part of the machine panel. Led digital display screens on the left and right sides, and a pressure gauge in the middle.
Whether it is the pressed powder lever, knobs, buttons, as long as you can see and touch the place, are bling bling.
Key rebound comfortable, knob resistance in place, the details of workmanship is nothing to pick on.
Below the bean bin is the grinding accuracy adjustment, a total of 8 grinding gears, I usually put in 3 gears.
Below are the grinding outlet, extraction port, and steam lever.
High and low double cup holders can accommodate different cup sizes.
Silver Knight supports grinding sensing, intelligent powder pressing, dynamic pre-extraction, LatteCrema system, manual pulling system and more.
So the accessories are automatic/manual milk containers in addition to the regular filter handles.
Rear-mounted water tank with a capacity of 2.5L
A good cup of coffee, reach for it
Many people want to buy a coffee machine, but the reason they haven't started is mostly because they are afraid of the hassle.
I have used the Delonghi Silver Knight for a while, I think it is really a gospel for lazy people. Of course, it can also meet some of your more complex needs.
Don't be scared by the buttons on the panel when you first get started, it's actually very easy to use.
A screen on the left side showing the amount of coffee powder, the preparation process, and the extraction temperature.
A professional pressure gauge in the middle so you can visually determine if the desired pressure range has been reached.
On the right side is a menu of 6 preset coffees.
Here's how to make a few cups of coffee and we'll talk about it while we're at it.
Grinding induction
Knob to select a good amount of powder, 1-30 gears can be selected.
Once the handle is loaded, the machine will automatically start grinding.
Come to see the next motion picture, I still see this skill for the first time.
Intelligent powder pressing
One of the highlights of Silver Knight is this SmartTamping technology.
The screen will prompt you to press the powder after grinding.
At this point, you just need to press down on the pressed powder control lever, I usually press twice.
Look at the following motion picture, the control lever inside the design of the limit spring, pull the bottom will have a significant change in the feel.
Powder pressed can be, home machine can be pressed into this I am more than satisfied. In fact, compared to manually pressed powder, smart pressed powder is mainly convenient, and will not get the powder on the countertop are.
Dynamic pre-extraction / Real-time temperature control
The machine will dynamically adjust the extraction time according to the amount of coffee powder.
The Silver Knight is equipped with 2 heating systems that work to make coffee, hot water and steam respectively.
A total of 5 extraction temperature levels are selected, from 90°C to 98°C, with a 2°C progression per level.
Out of the cup
Take the handle out and fit it to the extraction port. Silver Knight supports dual cup extraction, you can select X2 directly on the panel.
Choose the coffee menu you want, black coffee and milk coffee gives a total of 6 presets, including the commonly drunk espresso, cappuccino, Australian white, American style, etc. are covered.
The pressure gauge is dynamic in real time during coffee making, so you can visually see if the ideal pressure has been reached.
Wait a few moments and a cup of coffee is ready.
Here I chose the espresso, which came out very nicely in the cup, and the fat was very nice in terms of richness, fullness and color.
It's beautiful when you look at it from a different angle.
Have a cappuccino
Another selling point of Silver Knight is the support of LatteCrema automatic milk frothing system. To know the usual home frothing milk is a troublesome and requires skill, now the Silver Knight makes it all easy.
The method of use is also very foolproof, take off the original decorative cover, put the milk jar in it is good.
Whole milk personally tastes better after whipping than low-fat/skimmed milk. Of course, in addition to milk, you can also put in oat milk, soy milk, etc.
You can directly select the level of denseness of milk froth, this is very convenient.
Here I changed the preset to Kabu.
The advantage of high and low cup holder is that it is compatible with different sizes of cups, kabob cups put in just right.
You just need to move your fingers and a cappuccino is ready. This is really convenient compared to manually beating milk.
Look at the automatic milk froth, very dense and thick. Drinking into the mouth, it is also very soft and delicate.
Play some tricks
Of course, if you want to play a little, then this Silver Knight can also meet you.
The machine also has a separate steam heating system that only requires the steam switch on the side to be turned on.
The three-hole steam lever will emit steam, but the general household machine is not recommended for empty spray, after playing empty spray can be sprayed to infiltrate the milk.
Together with the manual milk cup, you can freely adjust to the desired level of whipping.
The milk is very Nice after whipping, now you can go make a pull. I'm not very good at the whole pull, so I won't give you all the glory.
Tried some milk + coconut milk and made a raw coconut latte.
So the Silver Knight I think meets both the regular coffee needs and because it comes with a milk frothing system, it allows you to make more fancy.
Summary
As far as I've been using this machine for a while now, I'm very satisfied with it, and I can pretty much say that it meets all my needs for a coffee machine.
The panel seems slightly complicated, but in fact it is easy to get started with just a simple reading of the manual, or with some coffee machine experience.
Automatic grinding sensing, the handle is loaded and starts grinding automatically. In conjunction with intelligent powder pressing, the ritual is full of ritual, but also simplifies the steps. Compared to the pure manual of some machines, after doing the coffee countertop are still clean and tidy.
The milk frothing system that comes with it works well and solves the problem of making your own coffee with milk.
You can choose a completely foolproof one-touch milk curry, or you can manually whip and pull a flower or something. The milk whipped taste is quite good, dense and thick, soft and delicate.
In the home machine, I think the Silver Knight is almost considered the ceiling. In fact, the purchase of the machine, or this one-step to the real.
It may be a little more expensive, but in exchange for a good experience for many years to come.
Besides, it's so pretty, isn't it ~
