For the first time in 60 years, Tito’s Tacos is offering delivery (permanently) and pickup, but no phone orders. Midweek we popped in the long line that steadily moved full of mask wearers 6 feet apart to take home some tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chicken tamales, and chili con carne. A rare treat when we haven’t eaten out in 3 months.

A Los Angeles staple in Culver City since 1959, my husband couldn’t contain himself from singing all week, “The only thing better than a Tito’s Taco is two!” Impossible to drive home without eating at least one crunchy taco (over the cardboard tray, of course) and burrito bite while sucking down a milky cinnamon horchata.

Here are some of the ways Tito’s is keeping customers safe during the pandemic.
All delivery drivers are required to complete both a California Certified Food Handler course and a Tito’s Tacos course designed by Food Safety Consultant, Jeff Nelken. Delivery costs $10 within a 5 mile radius increasing by $2 per mile thereafter. All delivery fees and tips will go to delivery drivers and StreetSmart Messengers, a small LA-based business.

Tito’s Tacos has also implemented no-tamper packaging for all deliveries and sanitation machines to clean physical money. No time like now to take home classic LA tacos to your loved ones while singing, “I love Tito’s Tacos! You love Tito’s too!
