The Spaniards are a Latin American ethnic group and a nation. They are indigenous to Spain and have a common Spanish culture, history, origin and language. But it was always interesting, what kind of Spaniards really? Here are some facts about the Spanish temperament and the peculiarities of their mentality.
The most pronounced and well-known trait of the character of the Spanish people as a whole is, of course, screaming. It's not a secret that the Spaniards are a very noisy people. Such a feeling that they do not have "sound" borders when communicating. There is a feeling that the people are absolutely not brought up. Being in any crowded place, be it a bar, cafe, club or even an outdoor terrace on the street, you will surely hear the Spanish conversation. Three Spaniards to the entire bar, sitting in the farthest corner, is enough that you do not hear your interlocutor sitting in 50cm from you and yelling in your ear. The manner of speaking in high tones, or rather, in very high tones, creates the feeling that you are in the market.
It is believed that the Spaniards are a cheerful people - always friendly and smiling. In principle, this is true, but this behavior is more typical when meeting new people. The Spaniards will smile and try to please a new friend as best they can. But only at the first meeting. If they do not like you, they will also behave affably ... However, the thoughts will be different. And it's not pleasant. This fact implies another characteristic of the Spanish and Valencian people.
The motto of the Spaniards is "life in pleasure." An uncountable number of cafes, bars and restaurants all over Spain every weekend is filled with noisy Spaniards, well, tourists, of course. Although, after the 2008 crisis, which is still continuing in Spain, the daily exit for many has changed to a weekly or even a monthly one.
The Spaniards, as practice shows, are extremely lazy. And now in a crisis it is very clearly visible. Lazy and once again irresponsible. What is this laziness expressed in? First of all, they do not want to work. That they did not tell you: "It's not my fault, it's just that there's no work!" Or "I will not work for these pennies, but there's no normal work" -don't believe they just do not want to work. They always have a holiday and an occasion for recreation - the sun bites a lot, then the rain has gone, then the siesta, then the day off soon, the law says that work is evil, etc.
Characteristic for the Spaniards is the care of the elderly. It is not customary to leave old people without attention, to give them to homes for the elderly. Relatives always follow pensioners, providing them with the most comfortable conditions for living.
The basis of the Spanish society is family and family relations. A distinctive feature of the mentality is the joint residence of several generations of the same genus. All members of such a large family constantly communicate with each other, provide assistance, gather at a big festive table. At the same time, Spanish relatives trust each other, they are always frank in discussing problems and solving them. The mainstay of the family are men, whose task is to maintain a kind. One of the leading responsibilities of women is the upbringing of children, and they should also keep the house clean and tidy. The mentality of the Spaniards reflects the specifics of temperament. This is especially evident in relations between spouses, when the husband acts as a fierce jealous of his wife. The main feature of the mentality of the Spanish ethnos is honor.
The mentality of the Spaniards is characterized by such special features as humanism, love of life, individualism and intuitive-contemplative thinking.
