"The Hajj is one of the basic institutions that must be observed by the followers of Islam, and every adult Muslim who is financially and physically capable has the religious obligation to perform the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Islam has three holy places: Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem, with Mecca being the main holy place, known as the First Holy Land, and for more than 1,000 years, Mecca has been a center of desire and worship for Muslims around the world. In 570 A.D., Muhammad was born in Mecca. It was here that he founded and spread Islam. Due to opposition and persecution, he led his followers and his wife and family to Medina in 622 AD. Subsequently, the number of followers grew. In 630 A.D., Muhammad led his division to capture Mecca and used it as a center to continue his preaching. Islam has since grown rapidly to become one of the three major religions of the world, with followers on five continents. Large areas of Asia, Africa and Europe came under the jurisdiction of the Islamic countries.
"The pilgrimage to Mecca is the largest religious event in Islam each year. Every year, millions of Muslims gather in Mecca during the 12th month of the Islamic calendar to participate in the annual Hajj pilgrimage. During the pilgrimage, they gather around the "holy city" of Mecca to pray, eat and study together.
Hajj pilgrims come from different parts of the world, with different skin colors, languages, cultures, social backgrounds, economic status and educational levels. However, on the day of Hajj, they all wear the same simple garment (two pieces of white cloth made without joint stitching) and praise the glory of Allah Almighty with the same action, the same method, and the same goal.
There are few mosques (places of worship for followers of Islam) around the world, so why do Muslims go to great lengths and travel thousands of miles to perform the Hajj in Mecca? What makes Mecca so sacred and irreplaceable? There are two reasons.
1、Mecca is the birthplace of Muhammad, the founder of Islam
Muhammad is considered to be the last messenger sent by Allah to mankind. (Allah is the only Lord worshipped by Muslims all over the world and is considered to be the Lord who created the universe and nourished the world, commonly known as "Allah.")
2、Mecca has the world's Muslim worship direction and Hajj center, Allah's house "Kerbai"
The Qur'an says: "And whoever can make this journey should go to the house of heaven because of Allah." In this case, the "house of heaven" refers to the Khel Bai, which is located in the Forbidden Mosque of Mecca (also known as the Great Mosque of Mecca, the first holy mosque in Islam), and is a cubic building that is the "precursor of the world "It is the spiritual center of Muslims all over the world, and all Muslims revolve around it. Because for all eternity, the Kerbai has been inhabited by the Messenger of God, the people are guided directly by God's revelation, and the believers worship and pray toward the heavenly room, uniting a deep accumulation of worship and merit.
According to Islamic scholars, Kerbai was built in one of the holiest places on earth, Mecca, which is the center of the world and the highest point of the world, because the heavenly room is the closest to heaven and is the place chosen by God. For millions of years, the worship and practices of the believers have elevated the sacredness of this place, so that whether the heart aspires to the celestial room or goes to it, it is the closest to God.
