The White Deer Plain Folk Culture Village is located in Lantian County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, relying on the topography of the White Deer Plain, south to the Qinling Mountains and east to the Ba River. 350 million yuan was invested in its construction, covering an area of more than 1,200 mu. in May 2016, the opening day received 120,000 visitors, which can be described as an unprecedented event.
The White Deer Plain Folk Culture Village maintains the appearance of the original forest park, with lush trees and gurgling streams, and presents the original flavor of Guanzhong in various forms, such as imitation ancient architecture, special food, and traditional skill performances. This attraction is built on a hill, so you can visit all the attractions in two hours at most. Newly built old houses, just to see a lively, photo, scenery, style, that's not so good. The folk village is similar to an amusement attraction, eating and strolling are available, and the film city is closer.
By November 2017, less than two years after the park opened, visitor numbers had plummeted and the stores had closed. In just three years, it was fast-tracked, and by March 7, 2020, the management unit issued a notice of demolition, which was tantamount to announcing the complete decline of the White Lush Folk Culture Village, which had been open for only four years.
This four-year period is not only because of the input of developers, but also because those rural tourism in the name of "folklore" has turned into a scar of the original countryside. The once "internet town" is now a ruin, some buildings were demolished, the village is empty, only an overgrown weed. Sometimes it's more important to make a decision than to pay for it, and if you don't get it right, you're likely to fall deeper and deeper.
